fear is a funny thing.

fear is a funny thing.

fear is usually the #1 thing when it comes to us being hesitant to make a decision.

but when you really think about it, fear is usually the highest at the beginning.

the biggest fear you have is right before you leap.

the moment you make the leap, your fear becomes exponentially lesser.

step 0 is usually when you have the most fear.

compare step 1 to step 0, you realise that your fear is tremendously lesser.

compare step 2 to step 0, the amount of fear you have is a fraction to what you had at the beginning.

step 3 onwards, your fear is almost non-existent.

if you think about it, it seems like making the leap is how you get rid of the fear.

but ironically, fear is also what's stopping you from making that leap.

so you get trapped in a circle.

you can't make that leap because you are fearful. but you can't get rid of that fear if you don't make that leap.

and it just goes round and round and round.

Fear/anxiety leads to trust for me, every time I go through the cyclus I can have faith , surrender and let it go.. so that it doesn’t become me.. just like passengers, they come and go.. and decide what I am doing with it

Exactly, being indecisive is scary, but once decision is made, we’re good to go!

after trapped in the circle, then come the existential crisis. So, fuck it.

this was something that I really needed to hear today. i’m going through a situation in which i need to quit a sport for my mental health, because i’m doing two sports on top of schoolwork atm, but i’m scared to do it because i’ve been doing this sport for a while, and my parents like seeing me do it. but they also understand that if this is what i need to do, then i need to drop it. so, thank you.

wow, honestly you wrote it so simply and yet it was something that resonated with me because im one heck of a scaredy cat, then again sometimes art doesn’t have to be grand so long as it represents and connects with the person on the other end. i love it!!! planning on writing the 10th and 11th lines on my notes so i can remind myself of what i felt when i first read this. thanks for this.
